STEPHEN
Stephen joined the Mother Plucker Team in 2014 as an intern specializing in pattern and sample making. He first met Willy in 2013 when he visited Mother Plucker to purchase feathers for his final project in the Gold Thimble Runway Show as part of the Fashion Program at L.A. Trade Tech College. After helping Willy put out a literal fire at Mother Plucker (a story for another day), Willy invited Stephen to intern for the company in January 2014. Within two weeks, Stephen helped design and create jackets for Miley Cyrus. He was officially hired in April 2014 and promoted to Manager in August 2014.

At Mother Plucker, Stephen manages, plans, organizes, and oversees the company's day-to-day operations. He ensures maximum production output, high-quality products for customers, and on-time shipping and delivery. He deeply values each member of the Mother Plucker staff and has fostered an atmosphere of teamwork and family.

An alumnus of Santa Monica College, UCLA, and L.A. Trade Tech, Stephen has a passion for sewing and patternmaking and continues to create unique custom pieces while managing Mother Plucker. Some of his favorite projects include custom feathered jackets for celebrities, drag queens, and retail stores; custom capes for Jennifer Lopez’s live performance Hold It Don’t Drop It; custom epaulettes for Jennifer Lopez’s backup dancers; custom bouquets for weddings; custom boas for Alaska Thunder and Mariah Carey; production-line lingerie and activewear; and fulfilling the special requests of any drag queen who walks through the doors of Mother Plucker.

Originally from Palm Springs, Stephen moved to L.A. in 2003. He has three adorable cats that he loves and spoils. He is also a member of Myohoji Buddhist Temple in West Hollywood, practicing with local members and traveling to Japan each summer to visit the head temple.
