Invictus - coffee table book (2016)
We are proud to support acclaimed photographer Michael Stokes and his powerful book, Invictus, featuring wounded veterans of war. Invictus is a striking, large-scale coffee table book that presents nude and partially nude portraits of amputee veterans from the Afghanistan and Iraq conflicts.
We were honored to lend our wings for this project and to support Michael’s artistic vision, which so powerfully highlights the beauty and strength of those who have sacrificed for our country.
Queen Latifah as Maleficent – The Queen Latifah Show (2014)
For this unforgettable Halloween episode of The Queen Latifah Show, we brought Maleficent to life with a fully customized costume designed to command the stage. At the heart of the transformation were the oversized wings—handcrafted to perfectly suit Queen Latifah’s build. Each wing was engineered for dramatic scale and fluid movement, allowing her to perform comfortably while maintaining a powerful presence.
To elevate the look even further, we incorporated custom-molded, pointed horns at the top tips of the wings—echoing Maleficent’s iconic silhouette in a way that felt fresh and fierce. Every detail was considered, from proportions to materials, ensuring the final result was not only visually striking but also flawless on camera. The result was a show-stopping moment of Halloween magic, fit for a queen.

Remember the year (2018) when the Kardashian and Jenner sisters dressed as Victoria’s Secret Angels? It made headlines—and for good reason. Each of them strutted in towering wings, appearing to wear authentic VS gear… or so it seemed.
What most people never knew is that the wings Kim Kardashian wore weren’t actually from Victoria’s Secret at all. They were a bespoke pair, originally custom-made by Mother Plucker, for her sister, Kylie Jenner, for her Halloween look, a year earlier.
Somewhere between fittings and fittings, the wings must have gotten mixed up in a pile on the floor, and without realizing it, Kim picked the most fabulous pair in the room: the ones we handcrafted with love, detail, and drama.
We didn’t get the official credit, but we’re still proud. The wings looked incredible on Kim, and we continue to support both Victoria's Secret and the Kardashian-Jenner crew just as they’ve all supported us over the years.

The official music video for Take Me Home is a breathtaking mixed media production, seamlessly combining live performance with striking projections and dynamic animations. Directed by Brad Hammer, with visual overlays by Shawn Adeli and expert editing by Aurora Sexton, the video surrounds VIZIN with a stunning interplay of light and motion, amplifying the song’s raw energy and emotion.
We are beyond thankful to the entire team for their hard work and vizin in bringing this project to life. It is always a privilege to collaborate with such passion and talent, and we look forward to what comes next!

Glen Alen has been a valued customer of Mother Plucker for as long as we can remember, always sourcing his feathers from us and generously crediting us in his incredible designs—though the magic is entirely his own.
A master of color and form since childhood, Glen began his beauty career right out of high school and quickly rose to become an award-winning stylist, educator, and Emmy-winning makeup artist. His work spans film, TV, and live performance, with credits including A Star Is Born, American Crime Story, and America’s Got Talent. Glen is also a renowned expert in drag makeup and the founder of the Drag Makeup Academy.
We’re honored to be a small part of the artistry he brings to the world.
"Let's Get Loud" Jennifer Lopez
"Let's Get Loud" is a dance-pop and Latin anthem performed by Jennifer Lopez, originally written by Gloria Estefan, who passed it on to Lopez believing she'd bring fresh energy to it. Released in 2000, the song became one of Lopez’s signature hits, earning a Grammy nomination and charting internationally.
It remains a fan favorite and has been performed at major events—including the 2020 Super Bowl halftime show.
Mother Plucker has had the honor of creating several versions of the vibrant, custom fans used by Lopez’s dancers during this electrifying number.

Angelbird

In August of 2013 after selling most of her possessions Angelbird took off for Berlin.
From there to Rome, with a stint in Poland in between, she flew through the streets creating performances engaging the imagination, inviting people to look at their own cage, to remember their own wings, to remember that they can fly and that they are always free.
People were moved, sometimes deeply so and shared their stories
and the messages that they wanted her to share with the world,
and many flapped their wings, too, and took flight!
Latrice Royale
Drag superstar and worldwide performer, Latrice Royale has captured the hearts of fans across the globe. As a contestant on RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 1, as well as RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars Seasons 1 and 4, Latrice’s fierce presence and captivating performances continue to leave an unforgettable mark on the drag world.
Her custom creations stand as a testament to her innovative artistry and passion for self-expression. Among these, the custom lime green folding angel wings—designed as a folding backpack style—are a true highlight, paired with a matching collar and hairpiece that exude a dramatic flair.
The feathered designs in her looks are nothing short of spectacular. Incorporating luxurious ostrich plumes, ostrich spads, ostrich nandues, Lady Amherst center Vs, and rooster coque, every element brings an extra layer of grandeur and elegance.
Mother Plucker is incredibly grateful for the collaboration with Latrice, whose feathers elevate her drag to new heights. The partnership continues to inspire, and the luxurious quality of the feathers has added a signature touch to Latrice’s legendary style.
